Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art facility in the Hebbal industrial area, designed to support IT/ITES companies, startups, and innovators. The Rs 24 crore project, which began in 2018, is strategically located off the Outer Ring Road and spans 2.3 acres with a built-up area of 40,000 square feet.
This new facility offers several features, including 104 co-working space seats, 7,000 square feet of raw space, a 100-seat auditorium for events and presentations, a 13-seat conference room, and two discussion rooms with eight seats each for focused brainstorming sessions. Fully furnished and air-conditioned, the space also includes a 24/7 network operation center with high-speed internet, making it a plug-and-play solution for businesses.
Currently, the STPI Mysuru unit houses 62 companies, creating 8,000 direct employment opportunities. Sources from STPI believe that the new facility will foster innovation and provide startups with the resources to accelerate their growth.
Shivashankar B, the Chief Executive of SJCE-STEP, emphasized the importance of this initiative in establishing Mysuru as a growing hub for technology, research, and entrepreneurship. With over 300 fully equipped IT-enabled seats, this facility will play a crucial role in enabling startups to access world-class infrastructure, mentorship, training programs, funding opportunities, and connections to investors. STPI’s new facility complements existing initiatives and aims to create an integrated support system for startups to thrive and scale.
