The VV Puram police have arrested three men for allegedly assaulting a resident, threatening him with death and vandalising parked vehicles to create fear in the locality.
The accused have been identified as Abhishek (26), Puneeth alias Tony (25) and Umesh (27), residents of VV Puram and Mavalli.
Resident attacked and vehicles damaged
According to police, the incident took place on May 20 near Magadi Venkatappa Road. The trio allegedly stopped a man, assaulted him and threatened him with dire consequences.
Police said the accused later damaged several vehicles, including parked two-wheelers and cars, outside the complainant’s residence, causing alarm among local residents.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered and an investigation was launched.
Accused arrested within days
The suspects were arrested on May 23. During questioning, they allegedly admitted to their involvement in the assault and vandalism.
Investigators said the accused carried out the act with the intention of spreading fear and creating disturbance in the area.
Following their arrest, the trio was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
Police continue probe
Police are further investigating the case to determine whether the accused were involved in other incidents of intimidation or property damage in the locality.
Authorities said strict action will be taken against those attempting to disrupt public peace and safety.
