In a deeply distressing incident in Bengaluru, two children, Shubam (7) and Sia (3), were allegedly strangled to death by one of their parents in the Subramanyapura police station limits. The case has left the police grappling with conflicting claims from both parents, who hail from Jharkhand and are accusing each other of the heinous act.

The children’s mother is currently hospitalized with a neck injury, while their father, an auto driver, reported the incident and rushed them to the hospital. The tragedy unfolded between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, with the family reaching the hospital at 10:30 p.m.

DCP South Division, Lokesh Jagalasar, stated that preliminary investigations suggest the children were strangled with a rope. Marital discord and related frustrations appear to be the underlying causes. However, the mother denies involvement, blaming her husband, while the father claims the wife committed the crime in a fit of depression and frustration.

CCTV footage indicates the father arrived home after the crime occurred. Police are analyzing technical evidence to confirm who was present at the scene during the incident. Relatives and neighbors have corroborated reports of ongoing marital strife within the family.

The investigation remains ongoing, with officials scrutinizing all angles to uncover the truth behind this shocking crime.
