Pavan Kalyan’s life took a pivotal turn in Class 3 when the Tranquil Charitable Foundation (TCF) adopted his school in Bengaluru. Prior to this, the government school faced poor infrastructure and inadequate teaching resources. However, under TCF’s guidance, the school saw significant improvements, from better classrooms and a library to more teachers and an academic director to enhance the quality of education.

Founded by Srinivasan N, who grew up with firsthand experience of the struggles of underprivileged communities, TCF aimed to uplift students by creating an engaging, supportive environment. Collaborating with co-founders Sriram Visvanathan and Srinivas Padmanabharao, they adopted Gubbalala Higher Primary School through Karnataka’s ‘Shale Dattu Yojana’ scheme. Over 15 years, the student enrollment surged from 73 to 260, with support extending to alumni, helping over 125 students pursue higher education.

Today, Pavan, once an uncertain student, is pursuing a PhD in Physics and teaching younger students at his former school, expressing gratitude for the foundation that transformed his path. TCF’s efforts have empowered over 1,000 students, who now dream of bright futures beyond the limitations of poverty.
