A dramatic multi-vehicle collision on a national highway in Bengaluru Rural left three drivers injured after a truck reportedly lost control, crossed the median and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

The accident, captured on CCTV, occurred on a busy stretch near Devanahalli and briefly disrupted traffic in the area.

Truck loses control after hitting tractor

According to police, the truck was travelling towards Devanahalli when it allegedly rammed into a tractor moving ahead of it.

The impact caused the heavy vehicle to veer off course and leap over the highway median, entering the opposite carriageway.

Within moments, the truck crashed head-on into an approaching Bolero, resulting in a violent collision that sent shockwaves through the area.

CCTV captures dramatic moments

CCTV footage of the accident shows traffic moving normally before the truck suddenly loses control and crosses into the opposite lane.

The video also captures several motorists narrowly escaping the crash as the out-of-control vehicle ploughed through the divider and collided with the Bolero.

The footage has since drawn attention for highlighting the dangers posed by high-speed highway accidents and the narrow escapes of other road users.

Drivers survive crash

Despite the severity of the collision, all three drivers involved—the truck driver, tractor driver and Bolero driver—survived the accident.

Police said they sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.

Traffic movement on the highway was temporarily affected as emergency responders and police cleared the damaged vehicles from the road.

Investigation underway

A case has been registered and police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.

Officials are examining the CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the circumstances that led to the truck losing control.

Normal traffic flow was restored after the vehicles involved in the crash were removed from the highway.
