Bengaluru’s airport commute woes were once again in the spotlight after American tech entrepreneur Mike Horton, co-founder of Crossbow Technology and Geodnet, posted an excited photo upon landing at Kempegowda International Airport.
“Arrived Bangalore and very excited,” he wrote.
Social media immediately reminded him that the real struggle had only just begun.
Users flooded the comments with humorous warnings about the notoriously long commute from the airport to the city.
One wrote, “This is not Bangalore, it’s still 2.5 hours away.”
Another joked, “Actual Bangalore is still 2 days away.”
A third asked, “Tell me how you’ll feel in the next 2.5 hours.”
The viral exchange once again highlighted Bengaluru’s persistent connectivity issues, where travellers often spend more time on airport transfers than on their flights.
Meanwhile, a contrasting experience from Delhi went viral recently, with a traveller demonstrating how the Delhi Metro Airport Line enabled them to travel from IGI Airport to New Delhi Railway Station in under an hour — including baggage collection.
