The 14th edition of the Veganuary Festival, curated by Namu Kini of Namu Recommends, is set to be one of India’s largest vegan celebrations. Returning to Bengaluru, the festival continues to inspire and promote plant-based living, focusing on health, sustainability, and compassion in a fun, immersive environment. Over the years, the festival has made veganism a mainstream concept in India, hosting over 13 successful markets and supporting hundreds of small vegan brands.

This year, the festival expands its horizons with new features including panel discussions with vegan athletes, nutritionists, and changemakers, as well as fitness workshops, cooking demonstrations, and insights on how veganism can impact individuals’ lives. More than 110 curated stalls will offer a wide range of vegan products, from food to fashion. Among the featured brands are Paris Panini, Phobidden Fruit, and Bakery Pizza for food lovers, and Hibiscus Heroes from Auroville, known for slow fashion using plant-based dyes, and UnDenim, specializing in upcycled denim creations.

The festival also caters to families, offering pet-friendly spaces and a dedicated kids’ area for games and fun. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with picnic mats on the spacious lawns of Chamara Vajra, with vibrant festival vibes, fitness sessions, cooking demos, and insightful panel discussions taking place throughout the weekend.

For Namu Kini, curating this event is both a challenging and rewarding experience. “It’s about creating opportunities for in-person connections in a world dominated by online interactions. This festival is more than just shopping; it’s a chance to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded individuals,” says Kini.

Whether you’re new to veganism or a long-time advocate, this year’s Veganuary Festival promises something for everyone.
