A 27-year-old woman has alleged that she was assaulted by a delivery worker inside a residential society in Bengaluru after she intervened in an argument involving the man and security staff.

According to reports and a viral post shared on Reddit, the incident reportedly took place on April 15.

Dispute began over parking

The woman claimed the delivery person, who worked for a logistics company, had parked his two-wheeler at the main entrance meant for cars, despite a separate designated area nearby for bikes.

When security guards reportedly asked him to move the vehicle, the situation allegedly escalated into a heated verbal argument.

Woman says she intervened

The complainant stated that she was taking her dogs for a walk when she stepped in to calm the matter and reminded those involved to follow society rules.

She alleged that the delivery worker then began verbally abusing her using derogatory language.

The woman further claimed he made sexually suggestive gestures and continued behaving aggressively.

Assault allegations made

According to the complaint, when she challenged his behaviour, the man allegedly pulled at her clothes and slapped her.

She said she managed to push him away with the help of security staff present at the location.

FIR reportedly filed later

The woman said she contacted the police emergency helpline at around 6.45 pm.

She alleged the accused fled before police arrived and shouted threats while leaving.

According to the viral post, a formal FIR was reportedly registered the following day. She further alleged that the accused was later released without her knowledge, raising concerns over procedure.

Police response awaited

Authorities have not yet publicly confirmed full details of the case. Further investigation is expected.
