Metro services on Bengaluru’s Green Line were briefly disrupted on Saturday after a woman entered the tracks at Rajajinagar Metro station, prompting an emergency response by Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) staff.
The incident led to temporary delays in train services as officials activated safety protocols to protect passengers and restore normal operations.
Emergency response activated
According to officials, Metro staff immediately initiated emergency procedures after noticing the woman on the tracks. Train movement on the affected stretch was temporarily halted while personnel responded to the situation.
The woman was removed from the tracks, following which services resumed after the necessary safety checks were completed. Authorities have not released further details about her condition.
Services restored after brief delay
The disruption affected commuters travelling on the Green Line during a busy period, though operations were restored shortly afterwards.
BMRCL’s Emergency Trip System (ETS) and other safety measures were utilised to ensure passenger safety and minimise the impact on services. Officials urged commuters to follow safety instructions while using Metro facilities.
