A 22-year-old youth was brutally slain by two individuals on Sunday night in Ananthapur, North Bengaluru, according to the police.

The victim, Subramani, was assaulted around 9:30 PM near the residence of one of the accused, as per Yelahanka New Town police. Reports indicate that Subramani and his companion, Bhuvan, had an ongoing conflict with two known individuals, Ganesh and Muralidhar.

On Sunday night, Subramani visited Ganesh’s house in Ananthapur to settle their differences. However, what began as an attempt at reconciliation quickly escalated into a heated argument.

During the confrontation, a furious Ganesh reportedly seized a kitchen knife and attacked Subramani, a police official revealed. The injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to severe blood loss before medical help could save him.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for homicide. Meanwhile, Ganesh and Muralidhar are on the run, but the police claim to have strong leads and are actively pursuing them.

Authorities have urged the public to report any information that could assist in the swift apprehension of the suspects.
