
Bengaluru’s Infrastructure Woes Spark Debate on Moving Tech Hubs to Smaller Cities

The ongoing rains in Bengaluru have exposed the city’s fragile infrastructure, leading to discussions on social media about the need to build new tech hubs in tier 2 and 3 cities. Rohith Bhat, founder of Robosoft Technologies from Udupi, emphasized the importance of development that respects nature. Social media handle Visit Udupi highlighted entrepreneurs like Bhat and Zoho’s Sridhar Vembu, who built successful companies in smaller towns. Bhat called for a focus on exporting value rather than talent, while Karnataka IT minister Priyank Kharge also urged companies to invest beyond Bengaluru.
