Kalaburagi, Aug 22: Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the assault on Vijaykumar, a delivery boy working for Amazon, in Old Adarsh Colony. The attack occurred on Wednesday after Vijaykumar tried to mediate a dispute between two groups following a collision between their motorbikes.
The situation escalated when one group, angered by the intervention, followed Vijaykumar to his workplace and physically assaulted him, leaving him with injuries to his face and body. Another staff member, Rohan, sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Authorities have registered a case against 12 individuals involved in the attack. A search operation is underway to locate the others who are currently absconding. Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti confirmed the arrests and stated that the attack stemmed from a trivial disagreement.
The Gandhi Gunj police have reviewed CCTV footage from the Amazon office, which was inspected after the video of the incident went viral on social media. Investigations are ongoing to bring all the perpetrators to justice.
