On a warm afternoon in Bengaluru, a young mother read the ingredient label of a ‘natural’ sunscreen meant for her six-year-old and was shocked to find synthetic chemicals hidden behind green claims. That moment of doubt became the spark for Earthbaby, a Made-in-India baby and mom-care brand founded on transparency and trust.
Founded by Divya and Jiten Grover, Earthbaby was born from a simple question: why isn’t baby care truly honest about ingredients?
Built on honesty, backed by science
While many brands use ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ loosely, Earthbaby follows a radically transparent approach. Every product discloses 100 per cent of its ingredients and clearly mentions the percentage of natural origin, aligned with ISO 16128 global standards.
“We don’t claim to be 100 per cent natural because that isn’t scientifically accurate. We tell parents exactly how natural a product is and let them decide,” says founder Jiten Grover.
This clarity has resonated with conscious parents looking for safe, evidence-backed skincare for babies and mothers.
From personal need to conscious parenting movement
Earthbaby officially registered in 2021, though its journey began in 2016. Jiten’s own struggle with eczema and Divya’s experience as a new mother shaped the brand’s philosophy. The couple, now parents to two children, developed products while raising their family, ensuring formulations were gentle enough for real-life use.
The range includes traditional ubtans, virgin cold-pressed oils, Ayurvedic massage blends, shampoos and moisturisers, all free from artificial fragrances, parabens, silicones, talc and petroleum derivatives.
Growing trust among parents
Since launch, Earthbaby has been used by nearly 20,000 babies across India. Parents frequently cite ingredient transparency, affordable pricing and visible skin benefits as reasons for loyalty.
Beyond products, the brand focuses on education through an ingredient decoder that helps parents understand skincare labels without jargon.
Expanding from Bengaluru to global markets
Supported by Startup India initiatives and angel investors, Earthbaby now sells across major Indian platforms and exports to the UAE, with Saudi Arabia next. Upcoming launches include a mineral sunscreen for babies and a kids’ hair conditioner.
From a single moment of doubt to a growing movement, Earthbaby shows how honesty and science can redefine India’s baby-care industry.
