Domino’s Pizza China has achieved a major milestone, crossing the 1,400-store mark as it continues to aggressively expand its footprint across Mainland China.

Domino’s Pizza China (DPC Dash), the exclusive master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, announced the opening of its 1,405th outlet in Sanya, a popular tourist city in Hainan Province.

Entry into 72nd mainland city

The newly opened store also marked Domino’s China’s entry into its 72nd city in the Chinese Mainland. In a symbolic alignment, the store count now matches the company’s stock ticker — 1405.HK — on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

DPC Dash said the milestone underlines the effectiveness of its “go broader, go deeper” expansion strategy, which focuses on both entering new cities and strengthening presence in existing markets.

Strong growth momentum in 2025

The expansion follows a strong performance last year, during which the company added 307 net new stores and entered 21 new cities across China. The rapid growth reflects rising consumer demand for pizza, particularly driven by delivery-focused dining habits and increasing digital adoption.

Company officials noted that China remains a key growth market for the brand, supported by a young consumer base, urbanisation and evolving food preferences.

Focus on digital and delivery-led strategy

Looking ahead, DPC Dash said it will continue to execute its “4D strategy” — Development, Delicious Pizza at Value, Delivery, and Digital — to unlock further consumption potential in the Chinese market.

The company added that innovation, operational efficiency and sustainable growth will remain central to its long-term plans.

With store openings accelerating and digital-first operations strengthening, Domino’s Pizza China appears well-positioned to maintain its growth momentum in one of the world’s most competitive food service markets.
