New Delhi: Reliance Jio has launched a limited-period anniversary offer under which customers can buy select JioBharat feature phones for ₹1,499 and receive six months of free recharges. The offer includes 14GB of data and unlimited HD voice calling every month during the benefit period.
The offer is available from September 15 to October 20, 2026, and applies only to selected JioBharat models. Customers must also complete an eligible ₹123 recharge to activate the promotional benefit.
Which JioBharat phones are eligible?
The anniversary offer is not available across the entire JioBharat range. According to Jio’s offer details reported by NDTV Profit, the eligible devices are:
- JioBharat A1
- JioBharat B1
- JioBharat B2
- JioBharat B3
Customers purchasing one of these models for ₹1,499 can qualify for the six-month recharge benefit, subject to the applicable activation and recharge conditions.
What does the free recharge include?
Each of the six promotional monthly recharges provides 14GB of data along with unlimited HD voice calling.
The benefit is provided month by month rather than as a single six-month recharge. The first free recharge begins after the applicable initial FRC, MNP or RC plan tenure has been completed.
However, the promotional benefit remains linked to the particular device and mobile number. Customers must continue using the same IMEI and MSISDN combination throughout the six-month benefit period.
₹123 recharge is mandatory
Customers cannot activate the anniversary benefit simply by purchasing the ₹1,499 handset.
To qualify, they need to complete an eligible ₹123 FRC, MNP or RC recharge, depending on their circumstances. This recharge is mandatory for unlocking the offer.
The customer journey starts with purchasing an eligible JioBharat handset for ₹1,499. The customer then activates the SIM or completes the mobile number portability process before carrying out the ₹123 recharge.
Once the eligible recharge is completed, the promotional offer is applied to the account. A confirmation SMS is sent to the customer after successful activation.
Existing Jio users can also claim the offer
The anniversary scheme is not restricted to new Jio subscribers. Existing Jio customers can also participate by using an eligible new JioBharat device and completing the required ₹123 recharge.
For existing users, the offer does not cancel their current recharge validity. Instead, the six free recharges are placed in the queue and begin after the existing plan and the applicable ₹123 recharge period have been exhausted.
This means customers with an active plan do not have to give up their remaining validity to take advantage of the promotional offer.
When will the six free recharges start?
The free recharge benefit begins after the tenure of the initial FRC, MNP or RC plan is completed.
Following that, one promotional recharge is credited each month for six months. Each recharge carries 14GB of data and unlimited HD voice calling.
Customers should therefore continue using the same eligible handset with the same mobile number. The offer is tied to the combination of the device’s IMEI and the customer’s MSISDN, meaning changing the device or number could affect eligibility for the remaining benefits.
Offer available only for a limited period
The Jio anniversary offer is available between September 15 and October 20, 2026. Customers interested in the promotion need to purchase and activate an eligible device within this period.
The limited-period nature of the scheme means customers should check that the handset they are buying is one of the four eligible JioBharat models before completing the purchase.
