Mumbai: Justdial has announced a major leadership reshuffle, appointing former Flipkart executive Dinkar Ayilavarapu as its Chief Executive Officer-designate and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), effective July 10, 2026. The appointments were approved by the company’s board and disclosed in a regulatory filing.

Ayilavarapu will formally assume the role of Chief Executive Officer from August 1, 2026, succeeding Justdial founder V.S.S. Mani, whose tenure as Managing Director and CEO concludes on July 31, 2026.

The company also appointed Dinesh Taluja as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel with effect from July 11, 2026, following his resignation as a non-executive director.

Experienced digital business leader

Ayilavarapu brings more than two decades of experience across digital commerce, retail and technology. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale business transformation initiatives, focusing on profit-and-loss management, enterprise strategy and operational excellence.

Before joining Justdial, he headed Flipkart Wholesale, where he led the business-to-business platform serving over one million customers across India. During his tenure, he focused on transforming the legacy wholesale business into a digital-first, customer-centric platform while improving operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Earlier, Ayilavarapu served as Group Head of Strategy at Flipkart, playing a key role in shaping the company’s long-term growth initiatives.

Prior to Flipkart, he spent nearly 15 years at Bain & Company, advising global telecom and technology clients on business transformation, mergers, acquisitions and turnaround strategies.

CFO transition

As part of the leadership changes, Justdial accepted the resignation of Dinesh Taluja as a non-executive director effective July 10, 2026. He has now been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel from July 11.

The appointments mark a significant transition for the Reliance-backed local search platform as it enters a new phase under fresh executive leadership following the departure of its founder from day-to-day management.

Justdial reports Q1 FY27 results

Alongside the management changes, Justdial announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27.

The company reported a 4.1% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 166 crore, compared with Rs 160 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations rose 9.9% year-on-year to Rs 327 crore, up from Rs 298 crore a year earlier.

EBITDA increased 1.2% to Rs 87.4 crore, compared with Rs 86.4 crore in the same quarter last year. However, the EBITDA margin moderated to 26.7%, down from 29% in the year-ago period.
