Vivo is gearing up to introduce its flagship X300 and X300 Pro smartphones in India today, with the launch scheduled for 12 PM. Anticipation around the event has been high, backed by leaked pricing and strong early impressions from the China launch. Industry observers say Vivo appears ready to compete more aggressively in the premium segment alongside OnePlus, iQOO and Oppo.
How to watch the launch
The launch event will be livestreamed on Vivo’s official YouTube channel at 12 PM, giving Indian consumers their first detailed look at how the brand plans to position its next-generation flagships. Interest has also grown due to accessories such as the Telephoto Extender Kit, which is expected to be priced significantly lower than similar offerings from competitors.
Leaked pricing ahead of launch
Pricing leaks have dominated conversations ahead of the event. According to tipsters, the Vivo X300 may start at ₹75,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, placing it above several rival flagships. Additional variants—12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 512GB—are expected to be priced at ₹81,999 and ₹85,999, respectively.
The X300 Pro, reportedly launching in a single 16GB + 512GB configuration, is rumoured to cost ₹1,09,999, signalling Vivo’s ambitions in the ultra-premium tier.
Vivo’s new Telephoto Extender Kit, rumoured to be priced at ₹20,999, has caught the eye of photography enthusiasts. If accurate, it will be considerably more affordable than similar accessories from other brands.
Vivo X300 Pro: Key specifications
The X300 Pro is positioned as the more advanced device in the lineup. In China, it features a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE Q10+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and enhanced visibility under harsh lighting. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Indian models are expected to offer the same configuration, running Funtouch OS based on Android 16.
Photography remains the highlight of the X-series. The Pro variant carries a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with optical stabilisation. Vivo’s V3+ and Vs1 imaging chips, along with the continued partnership with Zeiss, aim to deliver enhanced computational photography. A 50MP front camera completes the imaging setup.
A 6,510mAh battery, 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging support fuel the device. Additional features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, an Action Button, a signal amplifier chip, a large x-axis linear motor, and four Wi-Fi boosters. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and GPS, along with an IP68 rating. The handset weighs 226g.
Vivo X300: Key specifications
The standard X300 mirrors the Pro in some areas while offering a more compact design. It features the same Dimensity 9500 processor, 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, but carries a slightly smaller 6,040mAh battery.
The phone’s 6.31-inch 1.5K OLED display makes it one of the few compact flagships available today. It measures 150.57 × 71.92 × 7.95 mm and weighs 190g, which could appeal to users seeking a lighter high-end smartphone.
Its camera configuration differs from the Pro model. Instead of the Sony sensor, the X300 uses a 200MP Samsung HPB primary camera with OIS, alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP LYT-602 periscope telephoto camera. The device supports Zeiss’ optional teleconverter and includes the V3+ imaging chip. The front camera mirrors the Pro with a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor.
Aiming for a stronger foothold in the premium market
With the X300 series, Vivo appears set to reinforce its presence in India’s competitive flagship segment. Final pricing, availability and launch offers will be revealed during the livestream, offering clarity on how the company plans to position its latest hardware against established premium players.
