CCTV Cameras Vandalized at Kambadakone College Ahead of SSLC Exams
Unidentified miscreants have reportedly damaged CCTV cameras at the Government Pre-University College in Kambadakone, Byndoor, just before the commencement of the SSLC examinations on Friday. The incident occurred on the night of March 20, with a total of five cameras being targeted, including two inside the examination hall, one near the teachers’ room entrance, and another in a classroom adjacent to the playground.
The miscreants also disconnected the power supply to the CCTV system, causing an estimated loss of Rs 12,000. These cameras were crucial for monitoring the exams to ensure fairness and prevent malpractices.
A complaint was filed by BC Shenoy, Vice Principal of the college, leading to the registration of a case at the Byndoor Police Station under Sections 329(3), 329(4), and 324(3) of the BNS. Authorities are investigating the matter
