Gundlupete: A leopard has died from electrocution in Nenekatte village of the Gundlupete range in Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
A three-year-old female leopard died from electric shock while climbing a tree, said officials. The incident occurred near a farmland in Nenekatte village of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. Forest Department officials rushed to the spot have conducted an inspection and confirmed the death.
Officials have informed that a post-mortem examination was conducted in the presence of Bandipur CF Prabhakaran, and the leopard’s carcass was given a proper funeral as per regulations.
