In a tragic event at Saint Francis School in Chamarajanagar, 8-year-old Tejaswini, a third-grader from Badanaguppe village, lost her life to a sudden heartattack. This incident underscores a growing concern: heart ailments, once linked to older adults, are now emerging among children.

Tejaswini collapsed unexpectedly while chatting with her friends in the school’s verandah. Teachers and staff acted swiftly, rushing her to a nearby private hospital. Despite their best efforts, she could not be saved, and doctors confirmed the cause as a heart attack.

Block Education Officer (BEO) Hanumanthasetty visited the school to investigate the incident. He met with the school authorities and medical professionals to understand the tragic sequence of events. Sharing details with the media, Hanumanthasetty explained that Tejaswini, the daughter of Lingaraju and Shruti, succumbed before medical intervention could make a difference.

This heart-wrenching loss has sent shockwaves through the local community, drawing attention to the alarming rise of cardiovascular issues in younger demographics. The incident highlights an urgent need for awareness campaigns and preventive health measures targeting children.

The untimely passing of Tejaswini serves as a painful reminder of shifting health trends and the importance of early detection and care. It calls for immediate action to protect the well-being of the younger generation.
