BENGALURU: In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old woman and her 22-year-old brother died by suicide by jumping in front of a running train in Sidlaghatta, Chikkaballapur district, early Friday morning. The siblings, N Navya and N Prabhu, ended their lives around 6:30 AM, according to railway police.

Navya, employed at a private firm, and Prabhu, a daily-wage laborer, were deeply affected by the death of their mother, Lalitamma, four months ago. Their father, Nataraj, revealed that both had been suffering from severe depression since their mother’s passing. “The two were very attached to their mother,” Nataraj said, expressing his grief over the loss of his children.
