Chikkaballapur: Tragedy struck at Dandiganahalli Dam in Chikkaballapur when two girls from Mumbai, Alia Patel (17) and Zoya Patel (14), drowned while swimming.
Alia and Zoya Patel, visiting a relative’s house in Gouribidanur, decided to swim in the Dandiganahalli reservoir. Unfortunately, the outing turned fatal as they drowned. The girls were scheduled to return to Mumbai on Sunday, their bodies were fished-out and sent for a post-mortem examination.
Police have visited the site and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered at Manchenahalli Police Station.
