A 30-year-old daily wage laborer, Ravi from Nandibattalu Tandya in Chikkamagaluru, endured a brutal attack over a minor disagreement involving a mobile phone. Ravi had recently moved to Udupi in search of work, arriving just a week before the incident.

The altercation occurred late on the night of December 23, near Naina Fancy Store in Moodanidamburu village, opposite Tirumala Jewellers. Around 11:30 PM, Ravi was conversing with Hanumanth, an acquaintance, when a discussion about a mobile phone spiraled out of control.

What began as a verbal spat soon turned physical. Hanumanth allegedly struck Ravi on his lips and cheek, leaving him with bleeding injuries. As tensions escalated further, Hanumanth reportedly kicked Ravi and assaulted him using a stone, delivering a blow to his head. This left Ravi with additional injuries, prompting concern over the extent of harm caused.

The Udupi Town Police responded promptly to the incident, registering a case and initiating an investigation. Authorities are working to uncover more details about the dispute and ensure justice is served.

This unfortunate event underscores how trivial disagreements can escalate into serious altercations, especially when tempers flare. Such incidents highlight the importance of conflict resolution and seeking help during heated situations.
