Chitradurga, June 21: Tragedy struck as Ruksana Kausar, a 63-year-old retired teacher from Mandakki Bhatti Layout, passed away due to a heatwave at Arafat Grounds in Mecca on Wednesday. Kausar, who was on a Hajj pilgrimage with her family members, fell ill due to the intense heat and tragically succumbed to her condition.
According to police reports, Kausar was buried in Mecca following her untimely demise. The incident underscores the severity of the heatwave, which has claimed the lives of over 900 individuals at the pilgrimage center.
