Mangaluru: Music lovers were treated to an evening of soulful melodies as Mandd Sobhann presented the 296th edition of its Monthly Theatre series, titled “Moga Manchi Adolfachi,” at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, on August 2.
The musical programme was inaugurated by renowned compere couple Evelyn and Stany D’Souza, who marked the beginning of the event by ringing the traditional bell. Mandd Sobhann President Louis J. Pinto presided over the inaugural function, while Kishore Fernandes compered the formal proceedings.
Tribute to Eric Ozario through music
The evening featured acclaimed singers Adolf Jayathilak and Meera Crasta, whose melodious performances won the hearts of the audience. The musical programme was specially organised as a heartfelt tribute to the late Eric Ozario, celebrating his immense contribution to Konkani culture and music.
The artists presented a selection of soulful songs, creating an emotional and memorable musical experience for those in attendance.
Talented musicians enrich the performance
The musical arrangements were directed by Roshan D’Souza, who led an accomplished team of musicians comprising Raj Gopal, Vijay Rasquinha, Roshan Fernandes, Veekshith, and Stephen Frank.
The evening was smoothly anchored by Lloyd Rego, with Gloria Veigas assisting in coordinating the programme.
The event concluded with appreciation from the audience for the performers and organisers, reaffirming Mandd Sobhann’s continued commitment to promoting Konkani music, theatre, and culture through its long-running Monthly Theatre series.
