Dubai: Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti, an NGO working towards environmental awareness and social welfare, organised a social get-together at Fortune Atrium, Dubai, on August 13. The gathering brought together prominent NRI Kannadigas, representatives of Karnataka-oriented organisations and well-wishers to discuss environmental protection, social responsibility, economic development and community harmony.
The programme was presided over by Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty, Founder of Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti. Sarvotham Shetty, Convener, UAE Samiti, delivered the welcome address.
Distinguished guests attend the gathering
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Dr Ronald Colaco, NRI Distinguished Fellow, Institute of Directors (India-Global); Dr B. R. Shetty, industrialist and UAE-based business leader; Shri Dharmapal Devadiga, President, Vishwa Devadiga Mahamandala; Shri Ronald Pinto and Shri Hidayath Adur.
The dignitaries jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp, symbolising knowledge, unity and the spirit of social service.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr Ronald Colaco highlighted the importance of community participation and environmental responsibility. He stressed that collective efforts are essential for building a sustainable society.

Development and environmental protection discussed
During the interaction, Dr B. R. Shetty, Shri Dharmapal Devadiga and Mr Frank Fernandes appreciated the initiatives of the Samiti and extended their best wishes for its continued social service.
