Bengaluru: The Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation Limited (KCCDC), under the Department of Minority Welfare, has invited applications for the Arivu Education Loan Scheme, offering interest-free educational loans to eligible Christian students pursuing higher and professional education.

The scheme aims to support students from economically weaker sections by providing financial assistance for professional courses and higher education, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations without the burden of high-interest loans.

Financial Assistance for Higher Education

Under the Arivu Education Loan Scheme, eligible students can avail loans ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹5 lakh per year, depending on the course and educational requirements.

The scheme covers a wide range of professional and higher education programmes, including MBBS, BDS, Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Agriculture, AYUSH, MBA, MCA, LLB, Nursing and other recognised professional courses.

Students who have secured admission through competitive entrance examinations such as CET, NEET and JEE are eligible to apply.

Expanded Eligibility Benefits

The Karnataka government has expanded the scope of the scheme by extending eligibility to students admitted under Government, Management, Private and other quota categories.

Applicants must belong to the Christian minority community and have an annual family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh.

The loan is offered without interest, with only a nominal 2 per cent service charge applicable. Repayment begins after completion of the course, allowing students sufficient time to establish their careers before starting repayments.

Encouraging Educational Advancement

The Arivu Education Loan Scheme has been introduced to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder deserving students from pursuing professional education and building successful careers.

Officials have encouraged eligible students and parents to make use of the opportunity and submit applications within the stipulated timeframe through the official portal.

Students can apply online through the Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation’s official website. For further information and assistance, applicants may contact the KCCDC helpline.
