Abu Dhabi: The Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Abu Dhabi successfully conducted a Blood Donation Camp on Sunday at the SEHA Blood Bank, Khalidiya, reinforcing its sustained commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare.
The camp was organised as part of the KCF Blood Saibo Schedule, a regular initiative held once every four months under the inspiring slogan “Donate Blood, Save Lives.” The drive witnessed an encouraging response from the community, with a large number of volunteers coming forward to donate blood, reflecting a strong sense of social responsibility and solidarity.
Regular initiative with a larger humanitarian goal
Speaking on the occasion, KCF Abu Dhabi President Kabeer Bayambady said that the blood donation drive was aimed at supporting healthcare systems by ensuring adequate blood availability, especially in the run-up to the holy month of Ramadan when demand for blood often increases.
He emphasised that KCF’s objective is not only to meet immediate requirements but also to promote regular voluntary blood donation as a civic duty. According to him, sustained awareness and consistent participation are essential to building a reliable blood supply that can save lives during emergencies.
Strong support from KCF leadership
The programme received active encouragement from senior office-bearers of KCF. KCF UAE President Kedumbady Ibrahim Saqafi and KCF Secretary Ibrahim of Bright Marble were present at the venue, extending their support to the donors and organisers. Several other prominent members of the Karnataka community in Abu Dhabi also attended the camp, lending moral support and appreciation to the volunteers.
Their presence highlighted the collective commitment of the overseas Karnataka community towards meaningful social initiatives that extend beyond cultural activities.
Smooth coordination and volunteer participation
The blood donation camp was efficiently coordinated under the leadership of KCF Abu Dhabi General Secretary Ummer Ishwaramangila. He was supported by Hameed Musliyar Kuppetty, Haris Sadi, and Eng. Arshad Kutthar, whose coordination ensured smooth registration, medical screening, and donor management throughout the programme.
A dedicated team of volunteers played a key role in the successful execution of the camp. Hameed Peruvai, Suhail Bajpe, Muneer Murugoli, Hamza (MBZ), Mukshith Zuhri, Hafil Saeed, and others assisted in guiding donors, maintaining order, and supporting the medical staff at every stage of the process.
Reinforcing a culture of service
The camp concluded on a positive note, with organisers expressing gratitude to the medical team of the SEHA Blood Bank for their professional support and to all donors who came forward voluntarily. The initiative once again reaffirmed KCF Abu Dhabi’s dedication to humanitarian causes and its vision of fostering a culture of service among the Karnataka diaspora.
Through initiatives such as blood donation drives, KCF Abu Dhabi continues to translate community spirit into concrete action, demonstrating how collective efforts can make a tangible difference in saving lives and supporting public health systems.
