Abu Dhabi: The Konkani Cultural Organisation (KCO) inaugurated its Pearl Jubilee celebrations with a Thanksgiving Eucharistic Mass on 15th February 2025 at 5:30 pm at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Abu Dhabi.
Solemn Eucharistic Celebration
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Maxim Cardoza, OFM Cap, Parish Priest of St. Paul’s Church. He was joined by concelebrants Rev. Fr. Darick D’Souza, OFM Cap, Secretary to Bishop H.E. Paulo Martinelli, and Rev. Fr. Marian Miranda, OFM Cap, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Cathedral and Spiritual Director of SJKC, Abu Dhabi.
The liturgical service was elevated by heartfelt readings and the soulful singing of the St. Joseph’s choir, fostering an ambiance of spiritual reflection and unity.
Homily on Faith and Dependence on God
Rev. Fr. Darick, in his homily, reflected on the scriptural verse, “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” (Luke 6:20). He explained that “the poor” in this context signifies those who are fully dependent on God, ultimately inheriting His kingdom.

Following the mass, snacks were distributed, fostering fellowship and camaraderie among the attendees from the Konkani community of Abu Dhabi parish.
