Abu Dhabi: Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO) has re-elected Leo Rodrigues as its Honorary President for a second consecutive term, reaffirming the community’s trust in his leadership and vision.
The new team of office bearers was elected during the Annual General Meeting held on March 5, 2026, with members coming together in a spirit of service and commitment to the Konkani community.

The following members were elected to lead KCO:

Leadership backed by trust and experience
Leo Rodrigues’ re-election follows the grand success of the KCO Pearl Jubilee celebrations 2025, which he led with distinction. His continued leadership is expected to guide key initiatives, including the Pearl Jubilee Housing Project and various community welfare programmes.
In his address, Leo Rodrigues expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and acknowledged the collective efforts of members in making the Jubilee celebrations a resounding success.
A founder President of KCO, Leo has previously served 12 terms as President and is widely respected for his philanthropic contributions across the UAE and the dioceses of Mangaluru, Udupi, and Shivamogga. He is also a successful entrepreneur, heading Amigo Automotive Services LLC in Abu Dhabi for over 36 years.
Key roles of Secretary and Treasurer
Claudia Lydia Lobo has been elected as Honorary Secretary. A committed and experienced member, she has previously served in the role multiple times and played a crucial part in coordinating the KCO Scholarship and Medical Aid Disbursement Committee in 2025. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance sector, she is known for her dedication and community service.
Franklin D’Cunha, elected as Honorary Treasurer, is recognised for his organisational skills and long-standing contribution to KCO. Having served as Treasurer and Auditor earlier, he also played a key role as Convenor of the Pearl Jubilee celebrations, ensuring their success through meticulous planning and execution.

The elections were conducted by Dolphy Vas, Election Presiding Officer, assisted by Chrysil Nonis D’Mello and Prasanna Pinto, through a secret ballot ensuring transparency.
