Doha-Qatar: Udupi Legends lift champion trophy of Udupi Premier League season-1 after defeating Royal Qatar Team in a nail-biting final match.
Udupi Restaurant Qatar in Association with Smart Cricketers Qatar conducted Udupi Premier League season-1 cricket tournament from 19 June to 22 June.
Karnataka based 10 cricket teams participated in the maiden tournament and spectators witnessed versatile cricket talents residing in Qatar.
The maiden tournament closing ceremony was held on 23 June 2024.
Team Udupi Legends owned by Faisal G and Musthafa G and lead by Imran Shirva becomes Champions of the tournament and Team Royal Qatar owned by Sheikh Mainuddin and lead by Parvez lift Runners up trophy.
Young talent Safan Pathan awarded with Final match Man of the match, Nizar Arekkal awarded Man of the Series (Most Valuable Player), Abdul Rauf awarded best batsman, Mohammad Rabeez awarded best bowler, Farhan Shirva awarded Best Fielder and Abdul Vaheed awarded with Best Wicket Keeper.
In the same occasion UPL Organizers took step forward and the renowned cricket players Imran Koteshwara, Abdul Rauf, Imran shirva, Deekshit Alva, Parvez, Abdul Sathar, Suhel Billi, Abdul Salam Mohammad Sheikh and Mirza Khaleel were honored with mementos for their dedication and contribution towards cricket in Qatar.
UPL organizers showed gratitude towards all supporters for the maiden tournament success and expressed happiness to conduct more events like this in the future.
