Bantwal Police Arrest Accused In 12 Year Old Jewellery Shop Theft Case

Bantwal, June 29: After evading authorities for 12 years, police have finally apprehended the prime suspect in a jewellery shop theft case that occurred in town back in 2012. The arrest of Amar Singh, also known as Amjath Singh, took place in Mahakalipura, located in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.

Singh, originally from Mahakalipura, had been on the run since his involvement in the theft, which led to his evasion of court hearings and legal proceedings for over a decade. Head constable Ganesh N and constable Manjunath from the Bantwal police station undertook the challenging task of tracking down Singh in Madhya Pradesh. Their efforts culminated in the successful arrest of the accused, who was subsequently presented before the court on Friday.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough for the Bantwal police, reflecting their persistence and dedication in pursuing long-pending cases. Officials expressed relief at finally apprehending Singh, ensuring that justice can be served after years of delay.
