Bengaluru-based activist Vijay Dennis, president of Karnataka RTI Workers Seva Samithi, has lodged a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), accusing officers from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of corruption and misconduct following a raid at a rave party in May. Dennis claims CCB officers demanded bribes and sought inappropriate favors from detained women, and allegedly falsified medical reports to pressure detainees for a ₹10 lakh bribe.
The SHRC has directed Bengaluru’s police commissioner to conduct an investigation and submit a report by November 21. The raid, which took place at G. R. Farmhouse in Hebbagodi, led to over 100 arrests, including prominent Telugu actors, and found 85 attendees testing positive for drugs. The case has raised concerns about alleged abuses of power and corruption within law enforcement.
