On Monday, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) brought two suspected terrorists, Abdul Matheen Taha and Mussavir Hussain Shazeb, to The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru for a site inspection. The suspects, who were apprehended in Kolkata in April this year, were brought to the popular city eatery around 5:30 am.
The visit was part of the ongoing investigation into a bomb blast that occurred at the cafe on March 1, injuring ten people. To ensure security and facilitate the inspection, more than 50 policemen were deployed outside the cafe, and barricades were set up around the area to restrict public access.
The NIA’s investigation into the blast has involved extensive searches across various locations in the country. The inspection of the blast site at The Rameshwaram Cafe is a critical step in understanding the incident and gathering evidence related to the attack.
This development underscores the seriousness of the NIA’s efforts to address and resolve the case, aiming to ensure justice for those affected by the explosion. The heightened security around the inspection site highlights the significance of the operation and the ongoing commitment to tackling terrorism.
