In a violent altercation in Ammermar, Pudu village, Mangaluru, two youths, Tasleem and Muhammad Shakeer, were seriously injured after being attacked by a group armed with deadly weapons. The victims are currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The incident reportedly began when Tasleem received an abusive phone call while he was with Muhammad Shakeer, Nasir, Siyab, and Saifuddin. The caller challenged Tasleem to meet at a crossroads near Ammermar school. Upon their arrival, a group led by Mansoor, including locals such as Pulti Imran, Mustaq alias Mitcha, Sarpuddin, and others, launched a violent attack.
According to witnesses, Pulti Imran struck Tasleem’s leg with a sword, while Mustaq slashed his hand. Sarpuddin hit him with a stone, and Mansoor attacked his face, causing severe injuries. Muhammad Shakeer was also attacked with a sword, and others, including Ashraf, Rizwan, and Latif, hit him with wooden sticks, leaving him gravely injured.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital for immediate care. A case has been registered at the Bantwal rural police station, and authorities have launched an investigation to apprehend the attackers.
