In Gambhyapur, Kalghatagi taluk, Dharwad, ten children fell ill after consuming castor seeds they plucked from a plant on their way home from school on Saturday. Shortly after eating the seeds, the children began experiencing severe stomach pain and vomiting, alarming their parents.

The children were immediately rushed to the district hospital, where they received prompt medical attention. Dharwad district surgeon Dr. Sangappa Gabi confirmed that all the children responded well to treatment and were discharged on Sunday, fully recovered.

This incident highlights the importance of educating children about the potential dangers of consuming unknown plants or seeds.
