In Hubballi, Karnataka, a woman has filed a complaint against her husband, Mujahid Khan, alleging threats to her life and an attempt to forcefully convert her to Islam. The incident, which was reported in Dharwad city, has led to the registration of an FIR by local police.
According to police reports, the woman, who had met Khan in 2017 while they were both employed in Bengaluru, married him under the impression that he was single. It later emerged that Khan was already married with four children. Following this revelation, Khan reportedly began to torture and threaten his wife.
The woman sought refuge at her grandmother’s home in Kalaghatgi town, but Khan allegedly traveled there and threatened to track her down and harm her if she attempted to escape. The case is currently under investigation by local authorities.
