A devastating accident near Hebasur in Hubballi on Friday night resulted in the death of three family members and injuries to three others. The victims were traveling in a Maruti Omni van when it collided with a truck.
The deceased have been identified as Jaffersab, his son Mustafa, and his grandson Shoaid. The family was en route to their native Mangalapura in Koppal taluk after a medical checkup for Jaffersab, who had suffered a paralytic stroke. They were returning from Halaga Hospital in Karwar at the time of the accident.
The three injured individuals were promptly transported to SDM Hospital in Dharwad for treatment. The collision has left the community in mourning as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
