A devastating incident unfolded in Dharwad as a four-year-old girl succumbed to dengue on Tuesday. The health department confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating that among the 46 reported cases of fever in the district, four were diagnosed as dengue cases.

The young girl, hailing from Mummigatti village in Dharwad taluk, had been suffering from fever. She was admitted to SDM Hospital for medical care on Monday as her condition deteriorated. Despite efforts from medical staff, she tragically passed away the following day.

Health officials expressed their condolences and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and prompt medical intervention in such cases. Dengue, a mosquito-borne viral infection, can lead to severe complications if not managed promptly.
