Mangaluru: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College recently hosted an academically vibrant event, providing a platform for undergraduates, interns, and postgraduates to present their research papers. The 3rd edition of Dr. M.L. Dhawale Memorial Oration and POTENTIA 2024, along with the Muller’s Young Research Award, took place from July 11 to 13, 2024.

The Muller’s Young Researcher Award featured paper presentations by students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College on July 11, 2024. POTENTIA 2024 was officially inaugurated by the Management on July 12, 2024, showcasing research paper and poster presentations from students across India. The event highlighted the talents and efforts of participants through various academic and research activities.

The inaugural program of the Dr. M.L. Dhawale Memorial Oration was held on July 13, 2024. Dr. E.S.J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sangeeta A. Duggal, Advisor (Homoeopathy) from the Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi, served as the chief guest and delivered an insightful message. Rev. Fr. Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, presided over the program and addressed the gathering.

Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Designate Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions and Administrator, FMHMC, congratulated the winners and encouraged ongoing research in the Homoeopathic system of medicine.

  • 2nd Prize: Ms. Sonam Raj Kumar Gupta, Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College
  • 3rd Prize: Ms. Kaliya Falguni Hardevbhai, Rajkot Homoeopathic Medical College

Ms. A.K. Devika, a final-year student at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, was awarded the Muller’s Young Researcher Award 2024.

Special Highlights

The event also marked the unveiling of the Ruby Jubilee logo, symbolizing 40 years of excellence in Homoeopathic education, research, and patient care. The ceremony was attended by Rev. Fr. Nelson Dheeraj Pais, Administrator, FMHPD, Rev. Fr. Ashwin Lawrence Crasta, Assistant Administrator, FMHMC, Dr. E.S.J. Prabhu Kiran, Principal, and Dr. Vilma Meera Dsouza, Vice Principal.

Dr. Raisa Cheriyan, the convener, proposed the vote of thanks, while Dr. Amogha and Dr. Jessie J. Geetha compered the events. Dr. Hitesh Purohit, Principal of Dr. Malini Kishore Sanghvi Homoeopathic Medical College in Baroda and a member of the National Commission for Homoeopathy, New Delhi, served as the keynote speaker, sharing his valuable insights with the audience.
