The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has commenced the online registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Candidates can apply through the official website, iimcat.ac.in, with the application window open until September 13, 2024.

The CAT 2024 will be administered on November 24, 2024. This computer-based examination will be held across approximately 170 cities. Admit cards will be available for download from November 5, 2024, and results are expected to be announced in the second week of January 2025.

Application Process for CAT 2024

To apply for CAT 2024, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to iimcat.ac.in to start your registration.
  2. Create an Account: Click on the “Register” button to create a new user account. Provide your basic details, including your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number. Submit this information to receive your User ID and password via email and SMS.
  3. Login and Fill Application Form: Use your User ID and password to log in to the CAT application portal. Complete the application form with the required details.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other necessary documents, such as caste or disability certificates if applicable.
  5. Pay the Application Fee: The fee can be paid online through a credit/debit card or net banking.
  6. Review and Submit: Double-check all the information entered in your application form. Once confirmed, submit your application.
  7. Print Confirmation Page: After successful submission, print the confirmation page for your records.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates) from any recognised university or institution. Those in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or who have completed their degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Registration Fees

  • SC, ST, and PwD Candidates: Rs 1,250
  • All Other Candidates: Rs 2,500
