MANGALURU, KA, April 22, 2025 – The Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) in Mangaluru has announced exceptional results for its students in the recent Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)  Main, significantly surpassing national performance benchmarks. From a cohort of nearly 150  candidates, 17 CFAL students achieved scores within the 99th percentile or higher. This represents  11.33% of CFAL’s aspirants reaching this elite tier, a rate more than ten times the national average,  where only 1% of candidates typically achieve such scores.

The results further indicate substantial depth in performance. More than 41 CFAL students,  constituting over 27.33% of the institution’s candidates, scored above the 97th percentile. This  achievement also markedly exceeds the national average, where approximately 3% of test-takers  reach the 97th percentile threshold. These figures underscore the effectiveness of CFAL’s focused  approach within the highly competitive landscape of the JEE Main, an examination taken by over  a million students nationwide annually.

CFAL attributes this consistent success to its distinct educational model, which prioritizes a deep  understanding of foundational concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics  (STEM) over rote learning. The institution’s long-term focus, often beginning mentorship from  Grade 8, aims to cultivate analytical and problem-solving skills essential for navigating complex  examinations like the JEE. This pedagogical strategy has consistently yielded results placing  CFAL students significantly above national performance metrics for over fifteen years.

Program Director at CFAL, commented on the results: “These outcomes quantitatively  demonstrate the impact of our rigorous, concept-driven pedagogy and the dedication of our faculty  and students. Achieving percentile placements more than ten times the national average is not an  anomaly but reflects a systematic approach to developing analytical capabilities. It highlights our  ability to significantly enhance student potential beyond baseline expectations, preparing them  effectively for India’s most demanding engineering entrance examinations.”

The JEE Main serves as the crucial first stage for admissions into premier engineering institutions  across India, including the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of  Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), and is  the qualifier for the subsequent JEE Advanced examination for entry into the Indian Institutes of  Technology (IITs).
