Mangaluru: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Yenepoya Naturopathy & Yogic Science College and Hospital organised a Personality Development Workshop to commemorate National Youth Day 2026, observed annually in honour of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The programme was held from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the college auditorium and witnessed active participation from faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students.

Focus on personality development and leadership

The workshop featured Keerty Nakray, Founder and Director of ORESO, Mangaluru, as the resource person. In an engaging and interactive session, she spoke on essential aspects of personality development, including effective communication skills, leadership qualities, time management, and self-confidence.

Emphasising the importance of self-awareness, she encouraged students to invest in continuous personal growth and adaptability. She highlighted that a confident and value-driven youth plays a crucial role in shaping a progressive and responsible nation.

Message inspired by Swami Vivekananda

The programme was presided over by Ajith K, NSS Programme Officer, who motivated students to imbibe the ideals and vision of Swami Vivekananda in their personal and social lives. He urged the youth to actively contribute to society through service, discipline, and character building.

Students and NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically throughout the session, appreciating the practical insights and interactive approach adopted during the workshop. Faculty members also lauded the initiative as a meaningful observance of National Youth Day.
