The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially released the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule for admissions under the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities and State Quota seats. The commission has directed all state counselling authorities to strictly adhere to the timetable issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
The move is aimed at ensuring uniformity and coordination between central and state-level counselling processes, and to avoid overlap or conflicts during seat allocation and joining.
Strict adherence to avoid overlap
In its official notification, the NMC stated that all state counselling authorities must follow the MCC schedule to prevent “incoherence” between AIQ and State Quota (SQ) counselling. The directive has been issued in line with various orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Medical education authorities have been asked to ensure timely sharing of joined candidates’ data between the MCC and state Directorates of Medical Education (DMEs) to maintain transparency and prevent duplicate admissions.
