Three activists of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Beltangady were assaulted in the city, leading to their hospitalization with serious injuries. The injured activists are currently receiving treatment at Wenlock and KMC Attavar hospitals.

According to NSUI office bearers, the police will file a case regarding the assault.

In response to the incident, several prominent NSUI and Youth Congress leaders visited the injured activists in the hospital. Among the visitors were NSUI President Suhan Alva, Vice President Sukhwinder Singh, President of Mangaluru South Legislative Constituency, Chief Secretary Ronson Sequeira, Omshree Poojary, Farooq, and Youth Congress leaders Ramananda Poojary, Sauhan S K, and Deekshit Attavar.

The assault on the NSUI activists has raised concerns about the safety and security of political activists in the region. The police investigation is expected to shed light on the motives behind the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.
