Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 has emerged as a nationwide talking point, with registrations crossing the three-crore mark, reflecting unprecedented participation from students, teachers and parents across India.

The annual interaction, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focuses on examinations, academic pressure and students’ mental well-being. Since registrations opened, the MyGov portal has witnessed steady and heavy traffic, officials said.

Record participation across the country

According to official data, over 3.19 crore participants have registered for PPC 2026 so far. This includes nearly 2.98 crore students, 17.94 lakh teachers, and 3.76 lakh parents, highlighting the programme’s growing relevance within school communities.

As of January 1, 2026, the participation figures stand at:

  • Students: 2,98,14,446
  • Teachers: 17,94,270
  • Parents: 3,76,586
  • Total: 3,19,85,302

The consistently rising numbers underline how PPC has evolved into one of India’s largest educational outreach initiatives.

Who can participate in PPC 2026

The programme is open to:

  • Students from Classes 6 to 12
  • Teachers from recognised schools
  • Parents and guardians of school-going children

Registrations began on December 1, 2025, and will remain open until January 11, 2026. Interested participants can register online through the MyGov portal.

Prizes and special opportunities

PPC 2026 also features competitions hosted on the MyGov platform. Around 2,500 selected participants — including students, teachers and parents — will receive a special PPC kit from the Ministry of Education.

A key highlight this year is the Golden Ticket initiative. Ten participants, designated as Legendary Exam Warriors, will get an opportunity to visit the Prime Minister’s residence and interact with him in person.

Focus on easing exam stress

The core objective of Pariksha Pe Charcha is to reduce exam-related anxiety among students through open dialogue. By sharing real experiences, concerns and practical advice, the programme aims to make conversations around exams more humane and relatable.

With registrations still open and participation continuing to rise, PPC 2026 remains a major point of discussion among students and families nationwide.
