New Delhi: The National Testing Agency has opened the application correction facility for Re-NEET 2026 candidates, allowing them to modify their preferred examination city ahead of the re-exam scheduled for June 21.
The window has been activated on the official NEET UG portal, and candidates can now update their first and second choice of exam cities. The facility will remain available from May 15 to 11:50 pm on May 21, 2026.
Officials clarified that no other changes will be permitted in the application form during this correction period.
Only exam city change allowed in correction window
According to NTA, candidates can revise only their preferred examination city selection during this period. No updates to personal details, category, or academic information will be accepted.
Candidates who do not make any changes within the given timeline will retain their previously selected exam city.
The move has been introduced to help students who may have relocated after submitting their original applications, ensuring they can appear for the exam closer to their current residence.
Steps to change exam city online
Candidates can log in to the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, using their application credentials to access the correction portal.
Once logged in, they can select and update their first and second preferred exam cities as per availability.
The National Testing Agency has also confirmed that no additional fees will be charged for this correction facility.
Important dates for Re-NEET 2026 process
The correction window will close on May 21, after which no further requests for changes will be accepted under any circumstances.
NTA has stated that city intimation slips, admit cards and other exam-related details will be released by June 14, 2026.
The Re-NEET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 21, 2026.
