Mangaluru: St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor, is set to host Milan 2026, a grand cultural extravaganza celebrating student talent, creativity, and unity on April 10, 2026, at its campus.
The much-anticipated annual event promises a vibrant mix of performances, competitions, and entertainment, bringing together students and faculty for a day-long celebration.
Grand inauguration and morning highlights
The celebrations will begin at 9:15 am with a grand procession followed by the inaugural ceremony. The event will be graced by Rev. Fr. Wilfred P. D’Souza, Director of SJEC; Rev. Fr. Kenneth R. Crasta, Assistant Director; and Dr. Rio D’Souza, Principal.
Ms. Remona Evette Pereira, popularly known as the “Golden Girl of Mangaluru,” will attend as the Guest of Honour for the morning session.
The inaugural programme will feature flash mob performances, guest dance shows, felicitation ceremonies, spot games, and various cultural competitions.
Evening cultural programme
The celebrations will continue with a grand cultural programme at 5:00 pm, showcasing a diverse line-up of student performances.
The evening event will be attended by Ln. Kishor D. Shetty, Producer at Lakumi Cine Creations, and Mr. Walter Nandalike, Founder and Managing Director of Daijiworld Media, along with other dignitaries.

Organising team and coordination
The event is being coordinated by student conveners Mr. Pratheek Moras and Ms. Renika Yathish, under the guidance of faculty conveners Dr. Prathima S and Mr. Chitharanjan M.
