Mangaluru: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering & Technology (SUIET), Mukka, will organise the International Conference on Emerging Synergy, Science and Technology (ICESST 2026) on April 29 and 30, 2026, in collaboration with IEEE Bengaluru and Mangaluru Subsections.
The conference marks a significant milestone as it is the first time the institution is hosting an international conference in association with IEEE, enhancing its global academic standing and outreach.
Global platform for innovation and research
ICESST 2026 aims to bring together researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students from across India and abroad to present original research and discuss emerging trends in science and technology.
The conference will feature keynote addresses, technical paper presentations, panel discussions, and project exhibitions across multidisciplinary domains including Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, and Fundamental Sciences.
Strong response from research community
The event has received an overwhelming response, with 509 research paper submissions from various disciplines. Following a rigorous review process, 152 high-quality papers have been shortlisted for presentation during the conference.
Participants are expected to include academicians, researchers, industry professionals, and students, making it a diverse and intellectually enriching platform.
Distinguished leadership and committees
The conference is held under the patronage of Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Hon’ble Chancellor of Srinivas University, along with Smt. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao and Prof. Er. A. Mithra S. Rao, Trustee Members of the Board of Governors.
The Steering Committee includes eminent experts such as Dr. Sydney A. Barnes (Germany), Dr. Radhakrishna Prabhu (Scotland), Er. Raja Krishnamoorthy (IBM Bengaluru), Dr. G. N. Kumar (NITK Surathkal), and IEEE representatives.
The Advisory Committee comprises senior university leadership, including the Vice Chancellor, registrars, and academic heads.
Leadership and coordination
Dr. Ramakrishna N. Hegde, Dean of SUIET Mukka, will serve as the General Chair and Chief Coordinator of the conference, supported by Prof. Gaurav Prasad, Convenor and Head of the Department of Cyber Security Engineering.
Their leadership has been instrumental in planning and organising the event since December last year.
Eminent chief guest for inauguration
The inaugural ceremony will be graced by eminent Indian space scientist and former ISRO Chairman Shri A. S. Kiran Kumar, a recipient of the Padma Shri award, as the Chief Guest.
Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro Chancellor of Srinivas University, will preside over the programme, along with several distinguished guests and academic leaders.

The organisers have extended an invitation to media and academic stakeholders to attend the inaugural ceremony scheduled at 11 AM on April 29 at the auditorium of Srinivas University Institute of Dental Sciences, Mukka campus.
