Mangaluru: St. Aloysius Industrial Training Institute celebrated its Annual Day for the academic year 2025–26 with enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy on May 27, 2026, at the auditorium of St. Aloysius College Higher Primary School.

The programme commenced at 10 am with a traditional Chende Dance that created a festive atmosphere and set the tone for the celebrations. This was followed by an introduction by the Masters of Ceremony and a graceful welcome dance presented by the students.

As part of the cultural segment, students performed the popular song “Give Me Some Sunshine,” which received appreciation from the audience.

The institution also presented its Annual Report highlighting the academic achievements, skill development initiatives, placement opportunities, and accomplishments of students during the academic year.

Dignitaries honoured during the celebration

The dignitaries present on the dais were warmly welcomed by the Director, Rev. Fr. John Dsouza SJ.

The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, Rector of St. Aloysius Institutions, Mangaluru.

The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Santhosh John Rodrigues, Managing Partner of Karnataka Agencies.

The Guests of Honour included Mr. Romius Dsouza, alumnus and retired JTO; Mr. Neelesh Antony Dsouza, alumnus and Senior HVAC Technician at Vectrus/V2X, US Base in Iraq; Mr. Sunil Francis Cutinho, alumnus and Proprietor of Hi-Tech Engineering Works, Kuppepadav; Mr. Mohammed Ashiq, alumnus and Proprietor of SM Car Care; Mr. Abdul Shahil, alumnus and Proprietor of Bismillah Auto Works; Mr. Sachinraj Bangera, alumnus and Senior Manager-Service at Trident BharatBenz; Mr. Naveen Rasquinha, President of the Alumni Association; and Ms. Pushpalatha, alumna and Team Leader at Instatech IT Solutions.

The dignitaries were felicitated on stage with ceremonial stoles and mementoes in recognition of their achievements and contributions.

Students honoured for academic achievements

During the programme, prizes were distributed to toppers of the NCVET examinations for the academic years 2023–24 and 2024–25.

Certificates were also awarded to students who successfully completed their diploma courses during the academic year 2024–25.

The event celebrated not only academic excellence but also the skill-based education and practical training provided by the institution.

Speakers motivate students towards success

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Mr. Santhosh John Rodrigues encouraged students to work hard with dedication, discipline, and confidence.

He highlighted that ITI students possess immense career opportunities and motivated them to become self-reliant entrepreneurs capable of creating employment opportunities for others.

In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ appreciated the efforts of the staff and students in successfully organising the programme.

He stressed the importance of teamwork, creativity, honesty, and commitment in achieving success in life and encouraged students to think innovatively and strive for excellence in their chosen professions.

The media team associated with the institution was also honoured during the programme in appreciation of their support and contributions.

The formal stage programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the convener, Ms. Ramya.

Cultural performances entertain audience

The second session of the Annual Day featured a variety of colourful cultural performances presented by students.

The performances included retro song dances, the song “Lokadha Kalaji,” skits, filmy dances by diploma students, and traditional folk dances.

The energetic performances entertained the audience and received loud applause and appreciation from parents, alumni, faculty members, and guests.

Among those present on the occasion were Principal Mr. Roshan D’Souza, Vice Principal Mr. Alwyn Menezes, Training Officers Mr. Noel Lobo and Mr. Wilson N, Programme Coordinator Ms. Ramya, Student Council President Mr. Rivan D’Souza, Cultural Secretary Mr. Thejas, faculty members, parents, alumni, and students.

The programme was compered by students Anitha, Deepthi, Manvith, Preethi, Manuel, Royson, Niveditha, Rivan, Nidhish, Dilshad Nadaf, Afif, Rujina, Christina, Jaison, Tashrifa, Swastika, and Ankitha.

The Annual Day celebrations concluded successfully in an atmosphere filled with joy, celebration, and appreciation for student talent and achievement.
